Greetings.
I'm Walker Larson, a versatile freelance writer specializing in content writing, blogging, and web copy.
Are you looking for high-quality, well-researched content, written with clarity, vividness, and grace?
Do you want to light up your business, publication, or website with thoughtful, engaging, and entertaining writing, but you struggle to find the time to write that blog post, perfect that webpage, or finish that report?
Let's be honest. Most of us are swamped for time. If you're running a successful business, you have mountains of things to think about and no time left over for content marketing, editing, proofreading, and the like. Or maybe you've got the time (good for you!), but writing just isn't your forte.
Either way, that's where I come in.
With a BA in writing, an MA in English literature and language, and over 100 published pieces online and in print, I can handle just about any research and writing project you send my way (even the most academic). With each project, I first aim to deeply understand your vision. Then, I promote your vision and brand through captivating content that uses the power of words to ignite interest and action.
I've written on a wide range of topics, including:
-
Family
-
Dating
-
Literature
-
Technology
-
Film and TV
-
Politics

I have special experience in:
-
Accounting - I hold an AAS in accounting and networking and worked at a city finance department
-
Real estate - I've held a Wisconsin real estate sales license and worked on house flips
-
Education - I was a literature and history teacher
I specialize in content writing and blogging, but I can also write catchy web copy, easy-to-understand how-to's, conversational business emails, informative brochures, comprehensive reports, and more. I've self-published two novels, so I'm experienced in longer form content and creative writing as well.
As a former writing tutor and instructor with editing experience on an essay anthology, I have an eye for the nitty-gritty details: sentence structure, style, spelling, and grammar (grading all those papers paid off!). I can help with developmental editing or just proofread if all you need is a pair of fresh eyes on your work.

I recently took my web writing and designing to the next level by completing an SEO certificate from HubSpot Academy. This, along with the computer networking aspect of my degree and my experience building websites, enables me to offer website management services on a limited basis as well.

I live in the beautiful bluff-lands of the Wisconsin Driftless Area with my wife, daughter, dog, and cow. When not writing, I play guitar, fly fish, hit the basketball court, spend time with family and friends, and, of course, read.
